Armor of God...

Last night it was Kaysen's turn to pick what we did for Family Home Evening. 

So he pulled out his "Who's Your Hero?" book by David Bowman.

He decided to learn about Captain Moroni. Mostly because he saw that there was a coloring activity with armor and he wanted to do it. 

So Jerry prepared the lesson. He had a surprise for the boys though. They thought they just got to color a picture. 

Nope. 

They actually got to put armor on. 

Towel = loins girt with truth
Backpack= breastplate of righteousness 
Boots= feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace
Pizza pan= shield of faith
Bike helmet= helmet of salvation 
Sword=word of God

Then we threw marshmallows at them to show how much harder it is to get hit by the "fiery darts of the adversary" when you have on the complete armor. 

They LOVED it. I'm not sure they got the complete meaning of it, but hey, we tried. 

Then we headed to DQ for some delicious blizzards. 

It was a fun (and delicious) F.H.E.
