Gage Update
I have finally been able to record Gage's cute laugh so here it is!I just love it! Gage is now 3 months old and is getting bigger everyday! I bet that he weighs close to 18lbs now...the kid hasn't slowed down eating at all! The carseat is getting so hard to carry with him in it but it is easier than holding him without it and chasing Kaysen. Last night Gage rolled over from his belly to his back for the first time! I don't know how he could do it though since he is so chubby! He has only done it one more time since then but hey...3 months is pretty fast to be doing that right??? It was probably just a fluke but oh well....it's still exciting! Gage is also teething right now! Can I just say that this is exciting news but is so sad. He was up all night and most of the day today...crying. Then it dawned on me..."Hey he might be teething" so I check his little gums and sure enought the bottom left one is bright red, swollen and cut. Poor little boy. Too bad he has many more of these to go!

Quirky Tag
1. I am like Krystin on this one too...when I eat chicken I have to pick all of the fat, ligaments, veins etc. out of it before I can eat it. This drives Jerry crazy...he tells me to just eat it!! It takes me longer to eat one piece of chicken then to eat the rest of my meal.
2. I can't stand to have just my hands wet. If I am washing dishes I have to dry off my hands before I touch anything. When I help Kaysen wash his hands after I've washed mine I have to dry mine off and then help him then dry them again.
3. I have to have the toilet paper rolling over the top of the roll. Whenever I see it the other way I change it. Jerry has gotten used to this one.
4. Whenever I have cash I have to have all of the bills face up, in the same direction with largest denominations on bottom and smallest on top. This is how I had to have my money when I worked at the bank so now I have to keep my money like this.
5. I salt my fruit like watermelon, cantelope and apples. Jerry thinks this is disgusting and that I am ruining my fruit...no way! It makes it so much better, not as healthy though.
6. I hate being alone at night when Jerry is working. If I am coming home alone, I go in every room in my house and check behind doors with my cell phone in my hand on the #9. (speed dial for my mom, we have a system set up to where if she sees my # on her phone and I hang up or don't answer then she'll call 911...yes I know I'm paranoid but oh well I can't change it.) Then I sleep with my cell phone under my pillow. I hate being alone!
Now I tag Kendyl, Kylie & Ashley

Just Reminders...
1. When he is ready for bed he says, "I want nigh nigh" then is ready for his jammies and a nighttime "biper" (diaper). He then kneels in front of the couch and pats the floor tell Jerry and me to kneel beside him for prayer. When this is over he promptly gets "Gagers bankie." (I used it for Gage once so now it is Gagers blankie, not Kaysens even though Kaysen uses it daily) He then lets me know he wants his "pellow" and lays down on the couch. He has to have a sippie full of milk and either Jerry or me sitting at his feet on the couch. While he is drinking the milk we have to have one hand on his belly so that one of his hands can play with our fingers. When he his done with the milk he will put it on the floor then roll over onto his belly and says, "I bup, I bup" so that we can burp him. (he started this after Gage was born) Within a few minutes he is usually out, but not before a few moments of talking about his day to himself.
2. When he says a prayer he says, "uh Mommy, uh Daddy, uh Gagers" over and over no matter what he tell him to say. When the prayer is finished he says, "ALL DONE!!" instead of amen.
3. When he wakes in the middle of the night he comes to my side of the bed and wakes me up then crawls in between Jerry and me. Every now and then we let him stay there if it is early morning. Otherwise we take him back to his room. When we do this he is crying for whichever one of us didn't put him there. Since Gage was born Jerry is usually the one to take him back to his room. Kaysen then says, "Daddy set." (sit) He is such a wild sleeper so his mattress is on the floor and so we will lay next to him until he is asleep. However 9 out of 10 times Jerry falls asleep next to him so when I get up with Gage I have to wake Jerry up so he'll come back to our bed.
4. He loves to "Pop It." This is a ridiculously loud popping noise that he makes with his tongue. My Dad always popped at Kaysen like this when he was just a baby. By the time Kaysen was about 10 months old he had the "popping" mastered. Before he could talk he would "POP" when he wanted to go see Papa.
5. He has to "bep it." (dip it) No matter what he eats he has to "bep it" in something. I just love the way he says it.
6. When I pull up to any fast food restaurant he immediately says, "Mama, I wan toke." (Mama, I want coke) Seriously, I don't eat fast food THAT much! He hast to put the straw in the cup or he throws an absolute fit and he has to hold the cup if he wants a drink. Picky little man huh???
7. He loves to smash bugs. To keep him busy when I am doing a craft in the garage I put him on "BUG PATROL" and he will go around trying to find bugs and smashing them. He won't just smash them once though...he'll do it to the same one until he finds another one or gets distracted.
8. When I need him to quit doing something I ask him to come help me and he runs to wherever I am and says, "hep me, hep me." He loves to help anyone do anything. He always has to help me unload the dryer, fold clothes, cook food, take out the trash and change Gage's diaper. I encourage this though...I love my little helper!!!
9. Now that I have two kids to get loaded up in the truck I had to come up with something to keep Kaysen from running out in the road. I give him my diaper bag and ask him to carry it for me while I get Gage in the truck...it works great! The bag is too heavy for him to move very fast with. The whole time he is carrying it he says, "Momma, I strong!" Yes, Kaysen you are my strong boy!!!
10. When Jerry gets home from work he opens the garage door and Kaysen can hear it...no matter when he is doing. He drops everything and runs to the garage and says, "I wanna ride." He loves to crawl up on Jerry's lap and drive the car with him. Whenever it is time to come inside he is ticked so Jerry distracts him by asking him to carry his lunch box...which is very heavy. Kaysen then walks in the door yelling once again, "Momma, I strong!"
11. Whenever I am on the floor Kaysen pushes me over so that I am on all fours and says, "Heeehee! Heeehee!" ( sound of a horse) He loves to climb on my back as I crawl around the living room trying to buck him off...yes to an outside I would look like a fool but this gets Kaysen laughing so hard. And hearing his laugh is totally worth the humiliation of someone seeing me.
12. When we go shopping he says, "I pooosh. I pooosh." (I just love the way that he says it! ) He doesn't want to ride in the cart so he offers to help us push it. He stands behind the basket, in front of us and pushes the basket. This usually only last as long as he can see through the basket though...which isn't very long. We fill it up too fast!
13. He loves Mickey Mouse! However, he calls him "Toodles" (because of the tool that brings them the Mouse-ka-tools on the cartoon) When he draws a picture he always asks us to draw "Toodles" for him. Then he will point out his ears, eyes, nose and teeth and will color each one. He is so smart!!
14. He acts out everything he is trying to say if he doesn't know the word. Example: When my Dad fills up the stove with pellets Kaysen does this: "Papa" (then he bends over sideways and acts like he is holding something in his hand and pours) then says, "fire, hot, owies." I swear he is going to be an actor or a mime...
15. When he sees words or letters he points to them and says, "eee, owww, oooh, eee, aaaa." He really thinks he is saying the word and laughs afterwards.
16. He loves any kind of tool and says that every tool is "like Daddy's." He just wants everything to be like Daddy. If Daddy is working with tools he has to have the same tool in his hand (don't worry most of them are play tools.) If Daddy is diggin the the dirt, he has his little shovel and is digging right beside Daddy. I love that he wants to be just like Jerry. If he keeps it up he will be an amazing man when he grows up!!!

Precious Moments
I love to just sit next to my boys and watch them sleep. Even if it just took me an hour to get Kaysen to calm down long enough to take nap. This time is my time...a time during the day when I can sit back and reflect on all that I am grateful for and when I realize just how precious time is. It seems like just yesterday I was taking a picture of Kaysen sleeping when he was 2 months old...now he is my big boy. At times it makes me so sad to think of how fast time goes by but I just have to remind myself to enjoy these precious moments and look forward to the many others that will come.

So much to be gratetful for....
12. Health - I have always been a pretty healthy person...besides my 6 sugeries. {accident prone} Now that I have children I realize what a blessing it is to wake up most days feeling good...besides being sleep deprived. It is so much harder to take care of them and play with them on days when I'm not feeling my best. Also, I am so grateful that my boys are healthy!
11. My Sister & My mom- They are my best friends. They know the real me and love me anyways. They support me...even if they don't agree with what I am doing. I'd have to say that we are all too much a like and that is why we have the disagreements that we have...but I don't mind being like them.
10.Clothes - I hate being cold and I love to be warm! And let's face it...there are many people out there you don't want to see naked!
9.Laughter & Smiles - The laughter of my children is the greatest sound...nothing can make me smile or change my attitude faster. Luckily I have a husband that makes me laugh & smile on a daily basis!!
8.Running water - It is the greatest thing to be able to take hot showers and have indoor plumbing.
7.Electricity - To be able to see in the dark, get my hair ready, cook, clean and use the computer is amazing to me. Of course electricy also pays the bills...without it I wonder what my husband would do for work???
6.FREEDOM - Currently so many people are focusing on all the negative stuff that is happening and I just want to remind myself that we live in the greatest country there is.
5.Vehicles - I love that I can hop in one of our cars and go anywhere in no time. I love walking and it truly would be better for me to do more of it but cars sure are more convenient.
4.Food - Need I say more????
3.My house - It may not be huge or brand new, but it is my HOME. I have so many wonderful memories inside this house. From moving in and it just being Jerry and I to remodeling and working hard together and of course bringing home both of my children. My house provides a shelter for my family...something many people would be so lucky to have.
2.The Gospel - Without this I know that I wouldn't be as happy as I am today or as blessed. I know that the Atonement is real and because of this I am able to recieve many blessings. I am able to focus on the future more than the present...which really helps out on hard days. I know that no matter how hard today is Heavenly Father is willing and able to help. I know that I will be with my family FOREVER if I live for it!
1. My FAMILY- They love me, support me and are the greatest. I love being a mother and wife...it is the greatest and most rewarding job in the world. They are the only thing that I can have after this life is over and they are really all that I want!

Halloween Fun
Kaysen was our little bat for Halloween. At first he was a little scared of the eyes that were on the hood but eventually got over that and loved his costume. We kept trying to get him to flap his wings so that we could take a picture but he didn't really want to cooperate. Gage was a dalmation. Grandma Duncan bought it for him thinking it was a cow but figured out later that she was wrong. It is still such a cute costume. It is a good thing that he wasn't a couple weeks older...he wouldn't have fit in it. He is a little too young to care at all about all of this stuff but it is so fun to dress him up.
