Crash...

Yesterday we bought this little four wheeler for Kaysen from a guy that Jerry works with. We showed Kaysen the picture of it a couple days ago and told him that on Friday after work Dad would be bringing it home. Each day he said, "Today is Wednesday (or whatever day it was), only 2 days until Friday!!"

When Jerry pulled up the driveway Kaysen was there waiting for him.

He didn't even let Jerry get it out of the truck before he wanted to climb up on it.

Then Gage wanted Kaysen to give him a ride....so they pretended.

It was getting dark, Jerry needed to fix a part on the wheel and we needed to eat dinner so we promised Kaysen that he could drive it this morning.

As soon as we woke up we heard, "Let's go ride my four wheeler." After convincing him to eat some breakfast first, Jerry and him headed outside to finish fixing the wheel. Then Kaysen put on his helmet and was all ready to go. Jerry adjusted the governor so it wouldn't go to fast. The first speed was crawling and wouldn't hardly go so he put it on the second setting.

He did so well at first....

the first 20 feet.

Then it started picking up a bit too much speed and he was going down our driveway which has a down hill slope so it caught a bit more speed. Plus there is a little ditch on the side of the driveway to keep water out. He was headed for it and turned the wheel a bit too sharp. Him and the four wheeler went rolling. Luckily he had a kill switch and as soon as he came off the four wheeler shut off but it did land on him. At first we were worried about his leg because it looked like it was at a wierd angle but it was fine. He walked away with a little road rash on his hip and that's all thank goodness.

(I have the crash on video but all you see/hear is me saying, "wooo whoo Kaysen! Slow Down! Slow Down! Jer! Jer! Jerry!" and then I start to run after him and the video is going crazy. So I'm not posting it.)

Now he's a bit shaky about getting back on but says he'll do it as long as, "Dad is running beside me, until I get better."

Let's hope that is our only crash :)

Oh, poor kid! Your boys are SO cute. I hope they take Lacy out in High School :)
And I love the picture of all of the cousins sitting in the truck (in your 4th of July post). It's priceless!
