So for F.H.E last night it was my turn. We read a story about Barry the bear who ate all of the berries and didn't share with this other bear that wanted some berries too. Later, Barry wanted to rest by his favorite tree but his friend, a beaver, chopped it down. The beaver said sorry, but didn't really mean it. He just said it. Barry realized that he needed to say sorry to his friend that he didn't share the berries with and mean it too. So he found her, apologized and they were friends again.
For the activity we got blue pieces of paper, crinkled them into a ball and had 3 different bowls to toss them into. We played horse, except we spelled SORRY instead. It was a hit. Kaysen has already asked if we can play it for F.H.E. tonight too.
We'll have to see if the moral of the story sunk in as much as the game did.
